How far is Griffin House from major sites like Big Ben and Buckingham
Palace?
It takes around 15 minutes on the Underground to get to attractions
like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. We are a 5 minute walk from Stockwell
Underground station which is on both the Northern and Victoria lines.
How do you reach Griffin House from London’s airports,
road and rail hubs?
Check our Directions page for details of how to get to us from Heathrow,
Gatwick and Stanstead airports, as well as London’s major rail
stations and by road.
How close are you to the gay areas in London?
We are a 10 minute walk from the London gay clubbing mecca of Vauxhall.
The gay bars of Soho and the West End are a 10 minute underground
ride away.
How do you reach Griffin House from the Underground station?
Stockwell Underground station is a 5 minute walk from Griffin House.
Walk down Stockwell Road turning right at the first set of traffic
lights onto Stockwell Green. We are number 22. Clapham North Underground
station is also a 5 minute walk from us along Landor Road.
Are there shops and restaurants nearby?
Clapham High Street with over 25 restaurants, two supermarkets, numerous
pubs and two gay bars is a 5 minute walk away. In the local area
there are convenience stores including some which are open 24 hours.
What time is check in?
Providing we do not have guests vacating the apartment on the night
before your arrival you are welcome to check in at any time. If
we do have visitors leaving that day we ask you wait till 1 pm,
although you are welcome to drop off your bags with us anytime.
Please check with us before your arrival and we can advise you.
What time is check out?
Likewise, if you have a late flight and we do not have guests booked
in the apartment that night you are welcome to leave at your leisure;
otherwise we request that you leave at around noon.
Is there Internet access?
There is a wireless broadband connection available throughout Griffin
House.
Do you serve breakfast/meals?
While we do not provide breakfast or other meals, we will gladly
put together a welcome basket (around £20) for your arrival
and will endeavour to accommodate any special requests you may
have. We also provide free tea, coffee, milk, mineral water and
fresh fruit for all our guests upon arrival.
