We love London, it's one of the world's greatest cities and we want you to enjoy your time here to the full. So if you have any questions, or if you need advice on what to do or where to go, we're here to help. Below are some of the questions that we frequently get asked about Griffin House, but if your query isn't there, send us an email or give us a ring and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

How far is Griffin House from sites like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace?
It takes around 15 minutes on the Underground to get to attractions like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. We are a 5-minute walk from Stockwell Underground station which is on the Northern and Victoria lines.

How far is Griffin House from the Underground stations?
Stockwell Underground station is a 5-minute walk from Griffin House. Clapham North station is a 5-minute walk. Brixton station is a 10-minute walk.

Are there shops and restaurants nearby?
We are opposite a CostCutter supermarket and a short walk from an organic bakery and a traditional English pub, the Landor, which serves good bar food. We are a 5-minute walk to Clapham High Street with over 25 restaurants, many pubs and two gay bars.  Brixton Village, a converted Victorian market hall, now home to a dozen restaurants, is a 10-minute walk. In the locality there are convenience stores including some open 24 hours.

What time is check in?
Providing we do not have guests staying in the apartment on the night before your arrival you are welcome to check in at any time. If we do have visitors leaving that day we ask you to wait till 1 pm, although you are welcome to drop off your bags with us anytime. Please check with us before your arrival and we can advise you.

What time is check out?
Likewise, if you have a late flight and we do not have guests booked in the apartment that night you are welcome to leave at leisure; otherwise we request you go at around noon.

Is there Internet access?
There is a free fast wireless broadband connection available in both apartments.

​Do you serve breakfast or other meals?
We do not provide breakfast or other meals. We do provide free tea, coffee, milk and fresh fruit for all guests upon arrival.

​How close are you to the gay areas in London?​
We are a 10-minute walk from the London gay clubbing Mecca of Vauxhall. The gay bars of Soho and the West End are 10 minutes away on the tube.
